Results of the Olympic basketball tournament 5x5 in Tokyo

The Olympic basketball tournament for men's and women's teams, which took place from July 25 to August 8, ended in Tokyo, as a result of which new Olympic champions and prize-winners were announced.

Among men:

• Team USA defended the championship title and won the 16th set of gold medals
• France for the 3rd time in the history of the Olympics became the silver medalist of the tournament
• The green continent won the bronze match between Australia and Slovenia

Among women:

• As in the men's tournament, the USA team celebrated the victory, having chalked up the 9th Olympic gold
• The hosts of the Games - the Japanese basketball team for the first time in history became prize-winners of the Olympics
• In the confrontation between Serbia and France for the 3rd place on the podium, the French women turned out to be stronger
