Announcement of Kazakhstan basketball events in April

The basketball season in Kazakhstan is coming to the finish line – April will begin with Kazakhstan Cup among men's teams, is followed by a series of playoffs of the men's First League and the Women's Championship, as well as other events of Kazakhstan basketball.

Kazakhstan Cup among men's teams: draw of the Kazakhstan Cup among men's teams will held from 2 to 6 April in Almaty at the court of the Sports complex "Dostyk". The 5 teams will attend the tournament – the Presidential basketball club "Astana", representatives of the southern capital "Almaty Legion", West Kazakhstan basketball players "Barsy Atyrau", Kokshetau basketball club "Sinegorye" and Kostanay club "Tobol". The tournament will held according to the system of smooth championship, without the final – the teams will play in one round of one game with each other. At the end of all matches, the teams will distribute the final places from the 1st to the 5th.

National League among men's teams:

• On April 1 and 7, a meeting will take place in Almaty between the "Barsy Atyrau" and Kokshetau’s "Sinegorye".
• April 12 - 13, "ASU Barsy Atyrau" will visit its neighbors – Aktau’s "Caspiy".
• On April 17 - 18, "Caspiy" will visit "Tobol", and "Almaty Legion" will take "Sinegorye" on its parquet.
• On April 21 - 22, the Atyrau derby will take place in the regular season.
• On April 23 - 24, the capital's basketball players will meet with Kostanay’s "Tobol" at home.
• On April 25 - 26, Aktau’s "Caspiy" will again receive guests from Atyrau, this time the team of "Barsy Atyrau".
• April 27 - 28 "Almaty Legion" will converge with "Tobol" on its parquet.
• April 30 - May 1, the final series of the regular championship will held in the capital – "Astana" will play against "Sinegorye".

First league among men's teams: the final play-off series of the tournament will take place on the court of the Sports Base "Zhaksy 2" from 18 to 28 April, in Schuchinsk. The teams that took the 1st and 2nd places in the regular championship – "Aktobe" and "Kazygurt" are exempt from participation in the quarterfinal and automatically pass to the semifinal. In the first pair of quarterfinalists the teams that took in the "regular" 4th and 5th places – Bars" and "SDYUSSH" will meet at the quarterfinal, and in the second pair teams that took 3rd and 6th places – "Irtysh" and "Astana Tigers" will compete for a ticket to the semifinal. Teams will play a series of matches up to 2 victories at all stages of the final stage of the tournament.

Kazakhstan Championship among women’s teams: the final play-off series of the tournament will take place on the court of the Sports Base "Zhaksy 2" from 18 to 28 April, in Schuchinsk. In accordance with the Regulations of the tournament, only the team that won the 1st place in the regular season group "B" will continue to fight for the title of the strongest women's team in the country. Thus, Shymkent’s "Kazygurt MarS" will play against Pavlodar’s "Irtysh" in the quarterfinal, and the teams "SDYUSSH", "Irtysh 2" and "Aktobe" completed their performance this season. The teams that took in group "A" 4th and 5th places – "Caspiy" and "Sinegorye" will compete for a ticket to the 1/2 final in the second pair of quarterfinalists, and the leaders of group "A" – "Astana Tigers" and "Astana Tigers youth" automatic passed to the semifinal. Teams will play a series of matches up to 2 victories at all stages of the final stage of the tournament.

Children and youth tournaments:

• March 30 - April 5, the Spring Championship of Kazakhstan among girls, who were born in 2004–2005 and 2006–2007 will held in Turkestan.
• On April 10 - 14, the Spring Championship of Kazakhstan in basketball 3x3 among boys and girls in three age categories – up to 12, 14 and 16 years will held in Shymkent.

Junior League Jr. NBA Kazakhstan: The second season of the Junior League Jr.NBA Kazakhstan will end in April. According to the results of the regular championship in six cities of Kazakhstan - Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, Kostanay and Shymkent, the strongest 8 teams were identified in each conference among boys and girls who will continue to fight for the champion title in their leagues. Matches take place on Saturdays and Sundays at local educational institutions.
