Announcement of Kazakhstan basketball events for January

The new year holidays are over and the basketball life of Kazakhstan returns to its previous course – in addition to the battles of the men's National league and the 3^rd round of the First league, in January, fans of domestic basketball are waiting a draw of the Federation Cup among women's teams.

National league among men's teams:

• January 9 - 10, the first matches of the men's championship will be held in the new year, which will take place in the capital between "Astana" and Kokshetau "Sinegorye".
• January 15 - 16, the capital basketball players will receive guests again, but this time from the Atyrau – the main cast of "Barsy".
• January 19 - 20, Atyrau "Barsy" will continue their outgoing tour and meet with "Sinegorye".
• January 23 - 24, in the northern and southern capitals, two series of matches will be held in parallel – "Astana" will host "ASU Barsy Atyrau", and "Almaty Legion" will host the main cast of green and white.
• January 27 - 28, "Tobol" and "Caspiy" will join the game, a series of matches between them will be held in Kostanay, and in the meantime, "Sinegorye" will play on their court with "ASU Barsy Atyrau".
• January 31 - February 1 in Almaty will be held the final January series of matches between the local “Legion” and the second cast of Atyrau.

Federation Cup among women's teams: since 20 till 24 January, in Shchuchinsk on the court of the Sports base "Zhaksy 2" will be held a draw of a new trophy among women's teams, which will be attended by 6 teams, divided by the results of the last Championship into 2 groups. Group "A" includes the second compositions of "Astana Tigers" and Pavlodar "Irtysh", as well as debutants of the season – "Aktobe". The group "B" includes representatives of the Mangystau region "Caspiy", Shymkent basketball players "Kazygurt MarS" and one more newcomers of the women's championship – "SCYSS" from Almaty region. According to the results of the group stage, during which the teams will play in 1 lap one game each other, a series of play-offs from the 1/2 final will be played, as well as a two-match series for the 5^th place. In addition to the Cup, the winners of the tournament will receive the right to participate in the fight for the Cup of Kazakhstan, which will unfold in late March.

The first league among men's teams: from January 30 to February 3, the 3^rd round of the Kazakhstan Championship among men's teams of the First league will take place at Shchuchinsk on the court of the Sports base "Zhaksy 2". By the next round in the tournament, a situation arises when the table can be divided into two parts – the top part, in which "Irtysh", "Aktobe" and "Kazygurt" will continue to fight for leadership, and in the bottom part "SCYSS" and "Astana Tigers" will try catch up with Petropavl "Bars". In five days, each team will hold five meetings, three games a day, and generally there will be 15 matches for the whole tour.

Children and youth tournaments: on January 7, the first youth tournaments will start in Shchuchinsk – the Winter championship of Kazakhstan among young men born in 2003-2004 and 2005-2006, followed by the Winter championship of Kazakhstan among girls in the same age categories from January 15 to 21.

The annual Republican seminar of the National Basketball Federation of Kazakhstan for basketball referees, basketball coaches and physical education teachers will take place on January 28–31 at "Zhaksy" Sports base in Shchuchinsk.
